Please gather around on this fine Monday morning and celebrate that Sheryl Lee Ralph has had a very sparkly 2023 this far. She wore a delicious Ferrero Rocher wrapping at the Critics Choice Awards, this delightful sequined purple number at the Globes, and now this, which feels very Dreamgirls adjacent — appropriate, given that Dreamgirls won SLR a Tony nomination (she lost to co-star Jennifer Holliday, who originated Effie White). The Sheryl Lee Ralphaissance has certainly been a bright spot in the last couple of years. It only seems fair that she’s dressing for it in something appropriately celebratory.
