Sandra Huller is hitting Anne Hathaway levels of theatrical omnipotence in 2026. She played a brusque government type in Project Hail Mary, and Tom Cruise’s younger sister in Digger. She reportedly appears in Avengers: Doomsday. And in between, we have Rose – in which she plays a woman disguised as a male soldier in the 17th century – and Fatherland, about a woman and her brother driving through 1949 Germany with their father, an exiled writer. (This seems like a VERY oversimplified explanation, but it’s the best I’ve got.) That is quite a range. These two appearances are for the latter two movies, which are not big loud Hollywood productions, and accordingly she seems to have kept things Business Fancy for them. The vibe here is very soothing, like she is your longtime therapist who fit you in at the end of her workday, but has to do the session in the outfit she’s wearing to a cocktail party where she is the guest of honor.
And, same therapist, but this time she’ll finish your session and go straight to an American Psychiatric Association convention, where she is a keynote speaker and award recipient. But don’t worry, you will get every minute of your hour, all her attention, and some bracing but welcome advice.
