Vogue more or less called the Saint Laurent look “a quietly epic examination of what happens when you both reveal and conceal the body—and the frisson you generate when you make your look long, lean and loaded with attitude.” It’s the “lean” that gets me. Perhaps they mean… streamlined? Otherwise, it kinda amounts to Vogue fetishizing a particular shape and size (what a shock). The collection offers a lot of what look like bodystockings, some nicer than others — I like the ones in green, like slide 11 — and many of which will appeal to its usual celeb clients like Hailey Bieber, Caitriona Balfe, and Zoe Kravitz. But imagine slide 11 or 23 on Ashley Graham, or Billy Porter. Attitude comes in plenty of gorgeous packages.
