Richard Quinn’s trademarks are billowing floral fabrics and full-body prints, which we’ve seen in the absolute extreme on Cardi B and then recently at about 75% strength on Anya Taylor-Joy. A few other ideas are squeaking in here, too; this first suit feels like an ode to Naeem Khan’s work, to me, and we’ve got some sleeves that evoke this Moschino on Camila Mendes, and there are some giant satin bags that come off as diluted Valentino. It’ll be interesting to see what this all evolves into; right now it still feels like high-fashion kitsch with a couple ideas that haven’t quite fully formed yet, but hey, even that has its place.
