First Rachel Zegler went to Miami for West Side Story, and then she zipped up to New York for CNN Heroes. It’s a good thing for her that award season is so spread out this year — Critics Choice Awards air on the same night the Globe winners are merely being announced, in January; the SAGs are in February after the Olympics; the Oscars are a few weeks later March — or else she’s going to drop from exhaustion. Unless they’ll find a passel of brunches to fit in between it all…
CNN Heroes, by the way, gives $10,000 to ten people that viewers have voted are deserving of the donation to their causes, with a chance for one of them to win another $100k. (As if CNN can’t give all of them that much; why does everything have to feel like a reality show?) Not all of them were present here, but you can read about their various causes on the CNN site, especially if you’ve been looking for new places to support.
