Isn’t this photo just such a time capsule? When I think about George Michael, he looks like this (although he is, of course, wearing jeans). Which makes sense, as this was around the time that Faith was everywhere and he was on a world tour supporting the album.
The gorgeous bra-topped woman with him is Kathy Yeung, who was known as George’s girlfriend at the time — George obviously later came out as gay, so I’m not sure if they were actually dating at this point, or just very good friends who let people think they were dating — and who is also the model in the “I Want Your Sex” video. She’s a very talented makeup artist now (she works with Rita Ora and Aubrey Plaza a lot), and she wrote the most touching tribute to George when he died:
