There are very obvious reasons why Michael Kors has been so successful over the years: These clothes are extremely wearable and classic and rich, and it’s easy to picture yourself wearing them various (perhaps fictional) places you might want to go. Sometimes, a person just wants to look like a Hitchcock heroine/Betty Draper/Gwyneth Paltrow in Talented Mr. Ripley, hopefully without the assorted crimes and misery associated with the aforementioned. Do you need a full-skirted black day dress, or a little pink cashmere sweater? Honestly, you might! The Vogue review says, “Walking out of Tavern on the Green into the glorious September sunshine a colleague declared Michael Kors ‘a designer who knows who he is.’ Which is exactly right,” and this is exactly right.  It is RELAXING.
