Meghann Fahy — so brilliant in The White Lotus season two; so also brilliant, if less-seen, in The Bold Type (RIP!) — is one of those actors who absolutely should be more famous than she is. Her Emmy-nominated turn in The White Lotus should have propelled her into the next level, and maybe it is — she does have a lot on her plate coming up – but this current film, where she is menaced by Air Drops on a date in what I think is a revolving restaurant, is probably not the greatest project she’s ever signed on to. NO MATTER. I actually long for a time where actresses could make cheesy thrillers every now and then — where are our ’90s-style thrillers?! Bring them back! Maybe this is it! — and either way, she looks extremely pretty in this, a dress that had a high possibility of washing her out and yet does not. Maybe I should just be grateful for what we have.
