On one hand, I guess it’s for the best that she opted in on those lace-trimmed tap pants, as that skirt is so short it is approaching cummberbund territory. (We can even see a tiny bit of her shirttail peeking out!) On the other hand, there are other skirts in the world. Last I checked, we do not live in some kind of horrifying skirt shortage. This whole thing just feels like she and her stylist tried this for kicks, looked in the mirror and said to each other, “hmmm…I’m not sure….” and then someone else stuck their head in the dressing room and was like, “WE GOTTA GO, WE ARE LATE LATE LATE,” and they just threw up their hands and decided to roll with it. Which is, in fairness, a good attitude for almost anything, so….points for a sense of humor, you know?
