Maggie seems so relaxed to be there in Venice. I think I would be, too. You mean to tell me I can show up, no one will be judging any of my own actual work, and I can just watch a bunch of movies and then talk about them for hours and hand out some trophies? IN VENICE? For a gig where, even if people disagree with your eventual winners, NO ONE is going to blame you or remember you were there that year, or be like, “Maggie Gyllenhaal presided over an absolute FARCE”? Excellent. Sounds like a gas.
