Lili’s green dress from the premiere of Look Both Ways was at least interesting, but I wish she had indeed looked both ways before crossing the street back into Fugtown, or she might have avoided getting hit by the sheer bus. (Have I sufficiently tortured that joke? Yes.) This is just such a bummer. It isn’t pretty. It isn’t fresh. It isn’t saying anything interesting, and it isn’t provocative; its only shock value lies in its ineptitude. If you interpret “look both ways” as “do a double take,” then okay, we’re on brand here, but otherwise the only two ways I’m seeing this are “through one side-eye” and “through the other.”
