This skirt reminds me so much of the less-famous sibling of the early aughts Going Out Top, the Going Out Skirt — a short, tiered, ruffled number from (usually) Forever 21, worn generally with a tank top and kitten-heel flip-flops. I had a black one with hot pink polka dots and a pink lace ruffle and it was….a look that I chose to wear! Anyway, it only makes sense that the Going Out Skirt might attempt a renaissance, and as these things go, this one is very cute and even upscale. Wearing it with a long-sleeved cardigan perhaps was a better call than a cotton tank? But what do I know!
