Over the last year or so, more celebrities have started wearing Iris van Herpen — Danai Gurira at the premiere of The Walking Dead (which is a very mainstream event to wear such a relatively avant-garde designer), Cate Blanchett at Cannes (where I noted that I didn’t think people were going to have the guts to wear the line), and Solange at the Met Gala (Solange always feels like a natural fit for van Herpen) — and I am always delighted when it happened.
