I am admittedly not a fan of former Celine designer Hedi Slimane’s work, generally, but for me — a person who does not have Celine money in the first place, but a girl can dream! — this feels like an improvement. (And Rider was at Celine before working at Polo, so he should know the brand.) As the New York Times said in their coverage, the coats are good. (And, while this might not be their goal, I always like it when I look at a ready-to-wear collection and think that I could sort of approximate it.) What can I say? I’m easily swayed.
