I don’t know if I’ve ever described a pair of shorts as “chic, yet highly competent,” but it seems I’m about to do just that. “Highly competent” is also right on brand for J. Gar — she is a face trusted to sell you sunscreen, and tell you which credit card to get, but she’s also a person we’ve seen crack the neck of an untrustworthy operative when the situation calls for it whilst wearing a hot pink wig, and, frankly, I cannot imagine a person whose take on sensible mid-length shorts I trust more.
