Brie Larson here was at the Deadline Contenders event — which is an event for folks who Deadline, the publication, believe will be awards season contenders (in her case, presumably for Lessons in Chemistry), but which I always read as People Who Are In Contention to Be Given a Deadline. However, given the school marm vibes of this outfit — complimentary!! — she more gives off the vibe of a person who’s likely to give you one.
