These are great covers. Gisele is a pro. I don’t think anyone is surprised. She knows she’s doing. It’s a pleasure to feel like you’re in safe hands when you pick up a magazine.

The profile is very well-done, if quite a positive piece, which is almost always the case for a cover profile in a glossy magazine. It will likewise not surprise that the interior snaps are VERY good; Gisele IS a supermodel for a reason, even if she doesn’t work as much as she used to. She talks a lot about environmentalism in her native Brazil, which was illuminating and important. I also thought this was interesting:

Ultimately, she wants [husband Tom Brady] to be happy and she knows better than anyone how much he loves the [football]. “Obviously, I have my concerns—this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” she says. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”

I personally suspect that Tom Brady might be slightly annoying to be married to, and the fact that he un-retired after like six weeks at home has been a topic of hot convo in my circles since it happened. The way she carefully talks about him, and the fact that she would not comment about them perhaps being separated, makes me think that they are perhaps reaching the end of their road. If they made a deal that it was her turn to do her thing and he then reneged…I’d be peeved too. Luckily, Gisele seems very resilient.
