We’ve discussed before how Jessica Chastain has become someone with a lot more fashion sense ascribed to her than she probably actually has — meaning, the world really seems to want her to have unerring and wonderful taste, and thus people often like she does, as if The Secret is real and putting it out into the universe will make it true. But in fact she really doesn’t. That is how I feel about Rachel McAdams. She’s talented (though I’m a little worried about her taste in movies…), and she’s lovely, and so sometimes we do the math and think the answer will be, “She looks great.” But more often than not, the math is faulty.
