I’m having a hard time getting too enthused about this one way or another.
I am sure that ribbon halter is hella expensive, but it photographs like it’s Dior for Target — you know, kind of cheap-shiny, and won’t lie straight. I also might wish the dress were just cocktail-length, or just long, as opposed to trying to have both. I don’t know. I’m not mad at it? Apparently it echoes my feelings about Portman herself: a whole lot of, “Eh, sure, whatever.” My cup does not run over with joy nor loathing. Instead, my cup sits placidly, wondering metaphorical thoughts about its level of fullness.
