Let me be frank. I mostly love this dress. She’s wearing it for a TV appearance, primarily, and it’s SO CUTE on TV:
It’s the perfect length for TV; it’s so peppy and retro on her. I really wish she looked like this, like, 100% of the time.
She then threw on a coat for an event later, and changed the shoes, and it ALSO went retro:
While there is a huge part of me that wants to throw on that coat and live in at as sort of Slanket/Bathrobe proxy, the rest of me feels like she just got sucked back int0 1995, and Lena Dunham is playing the Janeane Garofalo part in Reality Bites…although, actually, now that I think about it, Lena Dunham would be GREAT in that part if they ever remake Reality Bites, which would, of course, be a period piece now. Can we please make that happen? Who else should we cast in it? Taylor Kitsch can play the Ethan Hawke part (which is basically just hipster Tim Riggins anyway), but we need a Winona. Do we have a new Winona? Will we have to ask Winona to reprise her role?
