Honestly, what better way to ease back into working than an engagement that lets you wear your beloved flat boots, involves crafts, and then everyone sees you on your way home with hugs from tiny children? This was a visit to Sayers Croft Trust , which, per their website was “established in 1996 with the aim of involving the local community, especially young people, in the enjoyment and care of the environment. By working in partnership with the Sayers Croft field centre, the Trust aims to make all the facilities of Sayers Croft available to those who may otherwise be unable to access them due to physical, financial or social disadvantage. The Trust exists to serve and support the local community and takes an active role in education and conservation. By providing fun, adventurous and challenging activities for young people we hope to create good relationships, increase self esteem, and foster a sense of responsibility and community spirit.” Well, that’s all good stuff! A lot of local kids came out for this event, and were all very cute, as you’ll see in the slideshow.
The Palace has also blessed us with some video:

And also these pics that really made me laugh:

Kate looks VERY Kate at this event and I’m very glad she’s back. Double the duchesses at last!
