Diane won Best Actress at Cannes for what’s being described as her first German-language role — apparently she works mostly in French and English — in In the Fade, or Aus Dem Nichts, which is about the aftermath of a terrorist bombing. (It’s the kind of film that I’d be curious to see in theory, in part to observe her performance, but which may always feel a shade too emotionally timely to confront.) And while I know that Pacey’s reaction to this is not the most important thing by a long stretch, I know how Fug Nation feels about him and so I’m duty-bound to share this before we dive into the clothes.
I wonder if he texted her, too, or decided Instagram was enough.
