I said this in an earlier post, but I think the rescheduled Emmys kind of put the kibosh on Globes parties, because anyone who wants to throw one would prefer to do it after that telecast. However, new Globes owner Penske Media unsurprisingly completed the media branding sandwich: Variety did the pre-show, and then they had a Billboard post-party despite the fact that Billboard is a very weird match for this. Before the Globes, we also had a Variety event celebrating directors, an Amazon bash, and something small from Vanity Fair. To the highlights!
