Elle Fanning — and team — have been BUSY. They rolled right out of awards season and into the press push for Margot’s Got Money Troubles, and while I am sure this is just how everything shook out, you can sort of tell the creative team needed a little break to recalibrate. Neither of these looks really hang together for me; I get the gist of the polo shirt/foofy skirt but I think a tee shirt might have worked better, and the other one is just perplexing. I feel like everyone who turned on whatever morning show this is furrowed their brow and thought, “what is Elle wearing?” (The good news is: She did bounce back at the premiere.)
