Last season, Karl faked an autumn day in the park, and this time around he went full summer inside the Grand Palais in Paris. I cannot even begin to fathom how much money this cost, but I guess if anyone has it, it’s Lagerfeld. I hope everyone who gets to go to these shows, with such extravagant locations, pinches themselves daily. If you are bored and blase about it, please give your ticket to someone whose world it might change.
As for the clothes, Penelope Cruz is the latest Chanel signee. She’ll have to pick heavily from this, and I expect Keira Knightley will turn up in some of it, also. Let’s go shopping.
