Not a lot of royals to eyeball this week, but I shall not let that stop me from bringing you dibs and drabs this rainy Saturday! None of the big three (Kate, William, and Harry) had any events on their calendar this week, although Harry is due to attend a Nelson Mandela tribute on Westminster Abbey on Monday (in case you were thinking of going). Other stuff happened, but it’s all kind of picture-less, sadly for those of us who want to eyeball. To wit:
- Sophie Wessex and Prince Edward are in Jamaica, but — with apologies to those of you who are really into Sophie, of which I know there are at least two — the photos of their trip are mad crazy expensive and I haven’t seen that any of my usual sources are even running them so that I could direct you over there. (My source for Royal Calendars, Royals Central, says the trip isn’t supposed to start until Sunday, but I know they’re there at the moment, so….I don’t know. I’ve got an eye open for you, is what I’m saying, Sophie Fans 1 and 2. I do it all for you.)
- Last I saw, Poor Princess Charlene was canooding (not really, but kind of) with someone who is not Albert on vacation, and I think I speak for all of us (maybe even Albert) when I say: I think they’re just friends even if they are handsy; she seems way happier in St Barth; I suspect the Palace in Monaco really isn’t thrilled with this. And I know I speak for all of us when I say that I really need her to come home and put on a tiara so we can talk about it.
- Princess Madeleine of Sweden had her baby and she’s very cute and snuggly. You probably want to revisit our extensive coverage of her wedding.
Prince Charles brandished some weapons, however, and Princess Letizia wore a cute coat, though, so not all is lost. I also threw in a snap from a couple of weeks ago of Prince Harry in a plane, because I love you.
