Wes Gordon worked alongside Carolina Herrera for a bit before last season’s goodbye to the house’s iconic founder. This is his first show on his own, though she sat front row with her husband, and I feel like you can already see him steering it in a slightly younger direction. It’s not my favorite collection, necessarily, but it’s nowhere near the disaster of the first Oscar de la Renta shows after his passing, so I still have hope. There are definitely some pieces we’ll see at premieres.
