I find Britt Robertson very likable, and this outfit very stiff on her. The show is based on Sophia Amoruso, so Britt is playing someone who is a “rebellious broke misfit” who stumbles into starting her own company (Nasty Gal). I feel like the approach here could’ve been to harness some of that funk and looseness for a hipper presentation, without it looking like she was cloning her character. Instead, Team Britt went the other way and dressed her like she’s entering a wedding cake in a church bake-off and designed an apron and potholders to match.
