You probably recall Billy Porter’s resplendent tuxedo gown from the 2019 Oscars, made for him by Christian Siriano to striking, dreamy perfection. Ryan Murphy referenced it in his speech (he won a career achievement Globe), saying he asked Billy if he’d wear it again and Billy rather colorfully fired back that it’s currently in a museum. Instead, he had Christian whip up a similar-but-fresh one, in what I think — given how often he wears it — has to be Billy’s favorite hue. The original is so iconic that it was always going to be hard to top, but this is still pretty damn good. We also, herein, have a decent custom Chanel, an iffy gown from Christian, and a Dior that doesn’t fit.
