Lucky is based on a book, about a retired yada-yada one more job blah blah win her freedom. This is not a commentary on the book, which I have not read; merely that it feels very More of the Same overall, kind of like how people are always learning someone in their life is a spy (latest: Ride or Die), or non-cops are constantly better at solving murder cases than trained cops, who cannot do it at all without the intervention of a novelist/mentalist/lawyer/random busybody/person who can detect lies/genius/genius with autism/genius with dyslexia. There can always be new good entries in the genres, but it’s hard to sum them up sometimes without a sigh.
