All the pieces of this outfit are things we see a lot of now: crop top, asymmetrical skirt, blazer, plain pumps.
And yet the overall effect is that she’s a model at a department-store fashion show in 1987. (Who forgot to backcomb her hair and add the required liter of AquaNet.) I like that Zendaya is playful with her outfits, but I feel like there are ways to have fun that don’t make her look like her name is Marci and she’s hawking her own line called Mini-Mogulz.
