Saint Laurent productions is a co-producer on Emilia Perez, so it makes sense that Zoe Saldana would have ended up wearing them start to finish during her gauntlet. But she finished on a real head-scratcher. She was the clear favorite, as sure a lock as you can have, and this dress was NOT made to be worn on-stage in a tight shot of you crying. Hold up your hand just under her bustline, and you’ll get the telecast view. Not great, Bob! That, and we spent a lot of time on the red carpet trying to figure out if we could see nipple. Turns out it was just the way the light reflected off the metal on her bodice, but in all, that’s an avoidable problem! This whole dress was both avoidable, and a problem. At least she has a complete set of statuettes to keep her warm. And at least there are some better red gowns in this gallery. (Sorry, Zoe.)
