We’ve noted this multiple times lately, and our friend Abby has brought it up in her excellent Substack multiple times as well, but…what is going on with Sweeney’s styling lately? Some of the issue (like this socks/spangly undercrackers combo) is due to her surely lucrative deal with Miu Miu contractually obligating her to wear whatever they send over — we can’t all have Zendaya’s lawyers! — but it’s weird to me that someone as young and gorgeous as she is isn’t knocking it out of the park constantly. This just feels overworked, frankly. And I wonder if sometimes it’s the case of too many cooks in the kitchen: She’s got an excellent styling team, but lately her looks have felt like various folks are trying to manage her image and none of them exactly agree what it is. Get on the same page, folks, or lure Law Roach out of retirement and get on with it!
