Valentine’s Day (2011) was the first of the Garry Marshall trilogy that casts a bunch of big names in tiny roles and then intersects their stories — kind of like his versions of Love, Actually, except worse. But without Garry’s terrible Valentine’s Day movie, we would be lower on content today, so present-day me owes Past Garry Marshall a debt of gratitude. Demi and Ashton may be less grateful for a photo that lasts forever of them standing in married bliss in front of a heart(ish) made of flowers, but such is life, I guess.
