Truly, a few of these dresses are lovely. But they get lost in a parade of sheers and swishy noodles and jackets with distressed hems. Supposedly this was his “softness meets structure” collection, and there are some good examples of both; I just wish I liked more of it. I’m sure it’s very difficult to stretch and establish any kind of streetwear presence when what you’re known for, and what people most often jones for, are pretty dresses. But I’m not sure things like Slide 2, for example, really advance the cause. It just looks like an ode to redacted documents.
