Jodie Turner-Smith was named one of People’s most fashionable people of 2022, under the heading “The Showstopper.” Well, technically it says “showstoper,” but I assume someone will notice that soon. And it’s a choice with which no one can argue. Even if you don’t LIKE all of what she wears — and there were quite a few times this year when I didn’t — Jodie always owns the choices and does it with supreme confidence and magnetism. She owns the space, she owns your gaze, and she knows it and is completely comfortable occupying that space. Her stylists Wayman and Micah don’t always have very far to reach, as she’s a Gucci ambassador and that can be fairly limiting. But when she goes off that script, they REALLY go ham.
