We always think of awards season as kicking off in January with the Golden Globes, but the Palm Springs Film Festival sneaks itself in riiiiiiiight beforehand while everyone is in the neighborhood. And you’d think maybe the celeb attendees would relax there, knowing the Globes are coming, and perhaps save their mojo for the big stage, but no. They often deliver. Okay, there are some messes… ahem, Felicity Jones… but there are more Derns than duds. Herein, a sampling of the 2014 and 2015 offerings, which also included Julia Roberts’s frock from yesterday.
