Interestingly, on the eve of a Golden Globes that may end up being 90 percent black gowns, we can’t flash back to what people wore ten years ago — as we love to do — because we don’t know. In 2008, there was an actual blackout, in the form of the WGA strike that turned the telecast into a press conference. Celebs probably wore their PJs, but we didn’t have Instagram to see all about it.
So, for fun, I flipped through the past few years’ worth of Globes gowns and picked out some of the ones that made me smile the most. Because let’s end the week on a happy note.
