This game didn’t get particularly interesting until the second half — although we had fun in the live chat the whole way through! — but the back half of the game was a nailbiter. OVERTIME! Congrats to all you Chiefs fans!! I’m sorry to all you Niners fans!!! I didn’t have a dog in this fight beyond wanting to see a fun game, which we all eventually got.
I thought the halftime show was also really fun! Perfectly enjoyable! “Yeah” is an absolute banger and I did yell “LUDA!” as all right-thinking people do when Ludacris arrives. Alicia Keys looked and sounded great! H.E.R. looked and sounded great! Everyone loves a drumline — last night’s was courtesy of Jackson State — and it was fun to see so many Cirque du Soleil folks contorting, presumably between Vegas shows. It wasn’t my favorite halftime show of all time but nor was it my least favorite! It moved right along and Usher can still really dance! That’s absolutely enough!! We’ve got lots of shots of the festivities, and the celebs at the game — although we didn’t snaps of some folks who were there and who we saw on TV, like Beyonce (who looked great). But let’s discuss: What did you think of the game this year? Usher? The ads? (Jesus.com still out there spending crazy money, as, um, the Lord…intended? I dunno!) TAYLOR?
