The few times I’ve had my makeup or hair done for A Big Thing, usually the play is to wear a button-down shirt so that you can remove it without disturbing anything happening on your head. That is the only explanation I can accept for this satin thing, in this configuration: that Selena wore it during prep, they yanked the shoulders down to put body makeup on her decolletage and shoulders or something, and then someone burst in Top Chef-style and said, “TIME’S UP, everybody put down your utensils” and she had to give up and serve the dish with whatever was already on the plate. I don’t know if I’d send her home for it, but she’d definitely land in the bottom and have to face the judges.
