This did not look quite as poofy when it was presented by the designer, but it’s undeniably a fun party dress and absolutely would make a great, lively wedding gown. (No pun intended.) Blake looks nice in it — although once again, her styling of it feels a little…unsophisticated? (Although I actually love the bracelet and earrings in a vacuum; they feel perfect for an event where you’re wearing them with a caftan by the pool.) Blake is always famously “not using a stylist” — although she certainly has an assistant doing a LOT of the stuff stylists do; Blake herself is not running stuff to and from designers, surely — but I sort of wish she would! For one thing: Job creation. For another: There have to be SO MANY stylists DYING to get to work with Blake and just tweak a few tiny things. Think of all the puff pieces her management team could run about how Working With a Stylist Changed Blake in These Three Small Ways, or Working With This Stylist Taught Blake Lively Something So Important, or How This Stylist Pushed Blake Lively to the Next Level. THIS WRITES ITSELF. Anyway. This is a solid B+ and her hair is pretty, carry on.
