We’ve seen La Hayek get playful with her hair before, and people didn’t hate it, although perhaps that’s because it was atop one of the better looks in a bad Salma slideshow. This…. hmm. I am wildly torn on the suit; sometimes I think it’s all wrong on her and making her look squat, and sometimes I think it could have been okay if she’d let her dark curls flow free and worn it without a shirt under the blazer. As it stands, she seems to be in costume as Tilda Swinton in Trainwreck, who herself seemed like Tilda’s opposite alter-ego — the Sasha Fierce to Beyonce’s Original Flavor. Does Salma have a Sasha Fierce? Is she at this show dressed as Maxine Potent, heiress to a gum wrapper fortune and well-known karaoke mischief-maker? Is it bad that I hope so?
