I’m so excited for this week’s post. I love the week we cover the Nobel Prize ceremonies, both because everyone wears great gowns and huge tiaras, but also because I really enjoy looking up all the smartypants winners and learning what they’re working on. (Covering this is also how I learned that Fug Nation includes Beatrice Fihn, the executive director of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, which was awarded the Peace Prize in 2017, and which she accepted wearing an excellent outfit. Learning this was possibly the best thing that happened to me in 2017.) Let’s talk about smart people who are making the world better, and also about tiaras!
Earlier in the week, in case you missed it:
Meghan made a surprise appearance at the British Fashion Awards, in maybe the best look she’s ever worn?
And Wills and Kate had a day of engagements on Wednesday which involved a polka dot dress and some slightly regrettable shoes.
Everyone’s holiday cards are here! Oh my god, Prince Louis’s little face.
Elsewhere on the internet:
This week, Town & Country launched their interactive British Royal Family Tree, and it’s quite great.
At People: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s New Frogmore Cottage Home Is ‘Pretty Dilapidated Now.’ Somehow I think it’ll all end up all right for them.
At Nylon: On The Addictive Pleasure Of Reading British Monarchy Wikipedia. Welcome to the club, Nylon.
