Royals Round-Up, August 10th, 2018

I admit: I was concerned that THIS was going to be the August week that I had no material for this post, because everyone is in Balmoral or whatever, drinking and gin and tonic and talking shit about Samantha Markle. AU CONTRAIRE! People are still leaving the house, and for that….I thank them. They’re VERY casual. And I mean casual: We’ve got an off-handed royal butt-grab and everything. Also, jean shorts!

In case you missed it here at GFY, Meghan and Harry (and Eugenie) attended a wedding on Saturday (her birthday), and we had complete coverage.

Wednesday was Princess Beatrice’s birthday, and we had a HUGE fashion retrospective to celebrate. She’s more stylish than you think she is.

Hockey!

Today The Countess of Wessex and Lady Louise Windsor are attending the final of the Hockey Women's World Cup in London. Her Royal Highness takes a keen interest in the sport having been Patron of @englandhockey since 2007. The Countess and Lady Louise met @englandhockey players and volunteer "Hockey Makers" at the Games. Later, The Countess met players on the pitch and presented medals. Congratulations to The Netherlands who won the World Cup. Well done to the Ireland team, who also played in the final, and all the other teams that took part in the tournament. #HWC2018

#OTD in 1902 the Coronation of King Edward VII & Queen Alexandra took place at Westminster Abbey. The Coronation was originally planned for 26 June 1902 but had to be postponed as the King developed appendicitis. H.K.H. Kronprinsessen mødtes i dag med CEO for Women Deliver Katja Iversen, der blandt andet gav en status på organisationens aktiviteter og arbejde med at fremme ligestilling.
