I once got chewed out at a Christmas party at which I was the plus one for a negative article about MOCA (Los Angeles’s modern art museum) that I had not even written, and every time I cover an event for MOCA, I think about that. (Someone else at New York had actually written the piece, and whoever you are, you owe me a drink, because it was intense!) Anyway, if I get chewed out for this one, at least it’ll be my own doing.
