The Great Performances party always draws a crowd. And it’s thrown by W magazine, a fashion bible of sorts that’s very supportive of artsy and cool photography, so why on EARTH would these people not set up a proper step-and-repeat? The photographers loose in the venue must be screeching inside about the weird lighting, the awkward angles, and the fact that half these people are posing in front of a shot of Cynthia Erivo’s cleavage, or in the case of Nicole here, her own crotch. What is happening, W? You are not new at this! You’ve been throwing this party for years, and the photos are almost always terrible! Give the photographers what they need, so they can give the people what they want!
