As you can tell from the size of the slideshow, we didn’t tax ourselves TOO hard trying to narrow down the field here, but it’s somehow STILL not really a complete list. For example, we did a whole post on Jodie Turner-Smith’s clothes from 2022, and several of those outfits could’ve fit in here; some of you might’ve put Florence in here, although we didn’t, but she’s been amply covered already too. Indeed, overall, we’re trying not to triple or quadruple up on too many that we’ve already used. Queen Latifah’s glorious yellow caftan likely would’ve made it, and maybe more of the pinks, like Glenn Close or Billy Porter, but we don’t want you to feel like you’ve spent the break seeing the same photo six times (or for us to spend the break paying for it six times). And on the other end of things, you already know we went ahead and gave Saniyya Sidney a gallery of her own to avoid winnowing down her successful array. It’s been quite a year, overall. Some of it truly craptacular. Here, now, as we show it the door, let’s celebrate the excellence.
