Florence Pugh had a lot of things going on in 2022, only one small chunk of which involved picking outfits. But, like Jodie Turner-Smith yesterday, Miss Flo was named one of People’s most stylish for the year (I swear, we didn’t know that yet when I decided to do these slideshows) and, ALSO like Jodie, a) she has hewed closely to one specific designer for some big moments, and b) a big part of what works for Florence is confidence. If I’m being honest, I dislike most of these on their own merits, and think Valentino can be overrated. But she is very commanding.

That is… less dreamy for me. But possibly literally dreamy for her, if she wears it to sleep. I imagine her in it powder-puffing herself, and singing lightly to her newly borrowed orphan about how it’s time to go to the movies.
