Do you love data? Do you like shopping? Are you nosy? Let’s look at what items and stores were most popular with Fug Nation this past year! I look at what people are clicking through and buying every single day, because I think it’s interesting as much as I want to know what people are responding to for editorial purposes (and of course I want to keep an eye on our affiliate income). And I need to confess that I am always delighted when I see that someone has clicked through and bought something super spendy. It’s nice for us to get the cut, of course — but my emotional reaction is always more along the lines of, “GOOD FOR HER!!!” For example, a lot of you bought the Hermes lipstick this year (it just missed the top ten), and seeing it float past on our analytics was always so fun. I hope you love it — and anything else you may have bought from one of our shopping posts.

Let’s get into the top ten items purchased this year:

10. I’m delighted by how many of you bought this rainbow sequin party dress! It’s currently sold out, but this one is similar, and this sequined mini-dress is SO CUTE. [Nordstrom]

9. These gradient planters were a hit! That Etsy shop is currently on a break, presumably for the holidays, but searching for “gradient planter” gives a lot of interesting options.

8. Y’all LOVE a wreath — like this beautiful “summer’s harvest” one. [Etsy]

7. This Liberty-print puffer jacket at J.Crew was very well received, too! It’s sold out, but J.Crew has A TON of great Liberty-printed items. Including THIS puffer jacket!

6. J.Crew also nailed it with you folks with this very classic little tweed jacket.

5. Let’s move from the J.Crew portion of events and into the Boden department, where this Fair Isle sweater sold like mad. It’s currently on sale, too!

4. This summer saw a lot of you buying a very cute and reasonably priced Old Navy sundress which basically no longer even exists on their website. While I was there, though, I did notice that their cute flannel PJ pants are only $6.

3. This Madewell camera bag was TREMENDOUSLY POPULAR and yes, I do still really want it for myself.

2. Y’all were sundress-mad this summer! This very cute orange one at Nordstrom had great staying power. It’s sold out now, but this is a good, similar (expensive) option if you’re heading somewhere warm soon! This is more reasonably priced.

1. Drum roll! I’m thrilled that this was the most popular item on Go Fug Yourself this year. It’s a VERY FLUFFY long eggplant colored Teddy coat from Boden — now marked down to $160, in limited sizes. I hope you are rocking this coat all over town right now! (I recently bought this truly insane Apparis coat [I got mine from Rent the Runway, but that link goes to The Real Real] and I support insane fluffy coats for winter!)

And in case you’re wondered, the top ten sites y’all purchased from via us were:

10. The Outnet. This is the first time The Outnet cracked our top ten and that’s because their handbag sale was INSAAAANE this year. They currently have a great collection of coats under $350. Just FYI. Some of them are SOOOO cute. I gotta get off that page.

9. J.Crew Factory. Reliable. Reasonable. A great place to get shorts you don’t need to last for the rest of your life, or a whimsical cotton sweater.

8. Amazon, of course. The House of Bezos lives.

7. Anthropologie. So good for gifty things and CANDLES! (Tis the season for the one true candle.)

6. Madewell. The J.Crew Family of Brands always does well with Fug Nation and this was definitely helped by how many of you bought that bag! (It looks like, as I type anyway, they’re currently doing 50% off everything.)

5. Etsy. I’m surprised this isn’t higher! Our week-to-week click-throughs on Etsy is ALWAYS high. (Which is nice because I like linking to Etsy and it’s a fun place to source vintage and more unusual things.)

4. Boden. Of course!

3. Sephora. A CLASSIC. The round-ups I do of their twice-yearly sales is always a banger for us — thank you!!

2. J.Crew Regular Sauce. This is not a surprise at all. (I also am a person who used to go into my local J.Crew so much that once, after I’d been gone for a while, one of the sales people told me he’d been worried about me. Which was SO SWEET. And also a wakeup call for me.)

1. Nordstrom. Of course! When in doubt….Nordstrom will have it. Is something I think to myself almost every week.

Finally, I just want to thank everyone who has bought something through our links this year. It really does help us stay in business and we appreciate your support so much. I also really enjoy curating these posts, so thank you also for giving me the opportunity to write them!

Like most websites, GFY uses affiliate links where available, which means we earn a little money if you click through and buy something. We can assure you that all items were personally chosen while we sat around drinking mine and watching football. Thank you for supporting us!
