This season, Miu Miu seems to have taken last season’s chopped-up khaki aesthetic and given it a Tommy Hilfiger twist. I give them credit for the fact that whenever I see four inches of fabric slung around someone’s hips, I will think, “That reminds me of the worst Miu Miu years,” but what a strange endgame to have. This one is not AS bad. It’s for fall and winter, after all, so there are a couple sweaters and coats in the mix to keep it relatable (and cover the other sins). But one or two decent pieces of argyle out of a whole runway show is not a superb success rate.
